Sacraments for Adults

Sacraments: Confession (Reconciliation or Penance), Eucharist, Confirmation

If you are an adult person baptised in the Catholic Church and have been in conversation with our Parish and wish to proceed with the Sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation you have come to the right place!  This process requires preparation (learning about the Catholic Church and Sacraments) as well as providing information and making personal choices. You can see the coursework at this link:

Sacraments: Confession (Reconciliation or Penance), Eucharist, Confirmation

You will find some brief points about the Sacraments below and how you would enrol.

About Eucharist

If you are wishing to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist this also means receiving the sacrament of Penance (also known as Reconciliation or Confession).

About Confirmation

If a person is to be confirmed they need to have a sponsor and choose a confirmation name. This means identifying a saint's name that you would like to use. You can look at this site: https://mycatholic.life/saints/ to learn about the Saints. On that site you can search on a date (your birthday?) or the name of a saint you may know. You do have the option of using your baptism name as your Saint Name.

Also if you are to be confirmed we will also ask you to upload the baptism certificate of your sponsor. For the Sacrament of Confirmation you need a confirmed Catholic no less than 16 years of age to be your sponsor.  The fact that they are confirmed will be recorded on the current copy of their baptism certificate.

What Next

This process asks you to fill out an electronic form recording your personal details. Also you will be invited to upload a copy of your Baptism Certificate or record that you have sent a copy of the Baptism Certificate to the Parish Office and that it has been verified. If you are being confirmed,  we will ask for details from yourself and about your Sponsor.

To upload a Baptism certificate for you (or your sponsor) we recommend that you use the Chrome Web Browser. To upload a file you will need a Google account.

However, we realise technology doesn't always work, and if you are having difficulties uploading the Certificate(s) (or don't want to) please contact the Parish Office (02 4088 8714).

You may then complete the Step 1 process. (The very last section of Step 1 provides a way to manually record that Baptism Certificates have been seen (sighted) by our Parish Office or Sacramental Team and that section only needs to be filled in if documents are not uploaded.)

The steps involved are:

Step 1: Enter your Personal Details.

The form link (below) asks you for your personal details in order to enrol for one or more Sacraments.
Also, you will need details from your Baptism Certificate in order to complete the form below.

Step 2: How to upload or verify your Baptism Certificate:
